How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts? When a film has been produced it is very common that after it has been distributed, other products will be released alongside it for marketing purposes. These products implemented straight after the film can consist of anything such as magazine covers with the film on it, magazine articles, posters, televsion press and even flyers. However, due to advanced technology within the recent years flyers have not been used as much. These are the methods used to properly advertise the film, this has been implemented as a well known strategy to build up the hype for the film as the days get closer to the release date. Larger conglomerates such as Disney would have a very large budget for marketing, this gives them the chance to advertise on a larger scale, with a variety of different advertising plans. Movie Magazine Review Articles I will be researching about different movie review articles which will give me indication as to how the layout of mine will look like, as it needs to be as conventional as possible. By focusing on the format and language it will give me enough relevant information to construct an accurate representation of a conventional layout.   Within this film review from ‘Empire’ about the film ‘The Conjuring’ half of the page is filled with an image frame from the film. It is very large as it will grab the audiences attention as this dramatic shot has been denoted to attract the audience, through the characters fearful face which creates tension. Questionnaire I decided to ask 20 different people for this questionnaire to get reliable feedback, which will further my knowledge about the horror genre. Audiences of the Horror genre I will be forming a detailed Audience Profile for the horror genre's target market as this will give me a perspective on who is watching this genre. With a detailed analysis it will be me relevant information for me to then implement into my film production, where I will have an understanding on what group within the demographic I will be marketing towards. My research will be mainly towards what type of people watch the psychological horror genre as this narrows it down to the exact audience profile most similar to the target market for my short film. I will be researching psycho-graphics which will give me a clearer insight on what specific audience I believe watches psychological horror films.
